Tesco Live Brief

This brief was create by the Tesco Space, Range and Display team at Tesco. The brief was to create a concept promoting either ‘Back to School’ or ‘HFSS’ (High Fat Sugar and Salt) which would work in throughout all Tesco stores, online and on social media. The chosen category was HFSS as supermarkets must be prepared for the new law coming into place October 2022 . The concept ‘Nutritious, Delicious Family Meals in Under 30 Minutes’ enables consumers to easily put together a healthy family meal with pre chopped/ mixed ingredients and four steps to follow.  A variety of practices were used to create final outcomes, such as Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator. A Wackom tablet was the main piece of equipment used throughout. Three Dimensional models were also created to present to the client. At the end of this live brief, I had to pitch my concept to a panel. Both Ciara Shields and Lee Pain were impressed with my concept and presentation that I was offered a 2 week work placement. Unfortunately, due to the company still having covid restrictions within the office, this was never successfully arranged.

As the winner of the placement at Tesco, I was also put in the pages of the British Display Society 'Spotlight' magazine which has over 1.2 Million readers!

Photography was also explored during this brief in order to expand my skillset and produce a range of professional outcomes. Adobe Photoshop was used to edit photographs to create advertisements and in store graphics.
